Compile Datasets Into glTF Scenes and Models
glTF (GL transmission format), or the “JPEG of 3D”, scenes and models can be created from various datasets including COLLADA, OBJ or CityGML using FME. Convert your data as needed to prepare it for use in devices such as Oculus or web platforms like Facebook or Sketchfab. glTF is an open source format that can be further customized thanks to Khronos!
Create or Convert Attributes
FME’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface (that’s right - no coding!) means you can create workflows easily to customize your data exactly as you need it. Need to convert your data to be compatible with other systems? No problem. Use transformers like the CoordinateSystemSetter or AttributeManager. Write your .gltf or .glb files for projects based in programs like Cesium or even Unity!
Automate 3D Transformations
Processing 3D data can be a very lengthy and tedious task. Automate your conversions using FME Server so that your workflows can run on a schedule or trigger and your models will be ready to go when you are. You’ll have more time to experience and play with your newly created scenes than you ever had before!
