VoronoiDiagrammer
Voronoi diagrams, or Thiessen polygons, are used to understand patterns over an area of interest. After collecting data points and recording their location, the plane can be divided into sections, or Voronoi cells, that are representative of each data point.
Voronoi diagrams are used in a variety of fields for various purposes. For example:
- Healthcare: to help with diagnosis in bones and muscle tissue
- Ecology: to study forest growth patterns
- Urban Planning: to create school catchment areas
With FME’s VoronoiDiagrammer you can quickly and easily create your own Voronoi tessellation diagrams using your own data.
