Websites integration for navigational warning system: from text to geometry and a relational model with FME

Nowadays, navigational officers, offices and fleet operation centers need to have real time data which could have an impact on the security of their vessels as well as on their route. Marine Press was challenged by the constant change of technologies and data sources at the same time. While improving the delivery of navigational warnings in advance will help navigation officers create better plans for their vessel route, FME allowed to standardize data from different websites, generate geometry from raw data and implement a relational database model for easy retrieve of data.
