GIS Data Management for Large Infrastructure

Large-scale rail and highway projects use and generate substantial volumes of spatial information, requiring complex and creative management solutions. This presentation will discuss some of the unique requirements of data management on large infrastructure projects, including processing complex CAD models to generate intelligent GIS datasets, and making key project information available to all users. It will examine the role FME plays as a means of managing and processing spatial information and how the results can be used to improve the delivery of projects.
