COVID-19 is affecting us all (read our full statement) and we don’t want software licensing to prevent answers and solutions from being found. Anyone researching or working on projects related to COVID-19 is eligible to receive free FME Desktop and FME Server licenses valid until at least March 31, 2021.

Note: You may qualify for other free licenses available for Students, Home Use, Non-Profits, and more.

About You

FME Server

If you’re not already using FME Server, you have two options to get started:

  • The quickest option is to create an FME Cloud account through the FME Cloud Trial where you’ll receive $250 in credit. If you find you need more credit for your COVID-19 work, please contact covid19@safe.com with “COVID-19 FME Cloud” in your subject line.
  • Start an FME Server Trial. By default, this trial is valid for 60 days. To extend your trial to March 31, 2021 for your COVID-19 work, please contact covid19@safe.com with “COVID-19 FME Server” in your subject line.

If you’re already an FME Server user, we can provide free additional engines. Please contact covid19@safe.com with your request.

If you have questions about the projects you’re working on, be sure to include COVID-19 and we’ll prioritize our response in order to help. Or If COVID-19 is putting a financial strain on yourself or your company, but you would like to use FME for projects unrelated to COVID-19, the free license programs may be an option for you.
