Fly Over Canada

Fly Over Canada is North America’s leading Flying Ride! Using advanced technology to simulate flying over landscapes and through nature, it's an amazing opportunity to experience beautiful scenery from all over Canada, without having to leave Vancouver!

All FME UC guests will receive a 20% discount on Fly Over Canada rides when they flash their conference badge!

Vancouver Aquarium

Located in Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is a must-visit tourist attraction! Home to hundreds of different species of marine life, animals, and rotating exhibitions, Canada’s largest Aquarium is an attraction guests of all ages can enjoy.

Granville Island

Known as the city’s Premier Artistic & Cultural hub, you will definitely want to visit this beautiful community located on Vancouver’s Waterfront. From exploring the variety of shops to grabbing a bite to eat at the Public Market, it’s a summertime activity beloved by tourists & locals alike!

Traveling to and from Granville Island is easier than ever when you hop on the Aqua Bus! The water taxi service has stops all around the surrounding area, and provides a fun way to transport around downtown Vancouver. FME UC  Attendees will get 15% off all aqua bus tickets when they input the promo code ‘FME-Conference’ (case sensitive) at the time of online checkout.

Bike the Stanley Park Seawall

Stanley Park is one of the most popular and famous city parks in the region! Since it’s over 400 hectares in size, one of the best ways to cover the whole park is by renting a bicycle or rollerblades. Below we have shared our recommendation for a nearby bike rental shop, and if you mention 'Safe Software' onsite, you will get a 20% discount on rentals. Remember to sign up for the Tuesday evening Bike Ride during the UC for an extra ride.

Grouse Mountain & Capilano Suspension Bridge

For our nature-loving guests, heading over the Lionsgate Bridge to North Vancouver is a must. Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver’s most popular tourist destinations, and a true West Coast experience exploring the bridges and cliff walks through the rain forest.

Even further up Capilano Road you will find Grouse Mountain! Patrons  can either take a gondola up or brave the infamous Grouse Grind  if they’re up for a hike. At the top are restaurants, walking trails, a bear sanctuary, and a lumberjack show! It’s a true Canadian experience you won’t want to miss.

Watch a Sporting Event!

Hockey season may be over, but there are plenty of other sporting events happening during the week of the UC! Check out the game schedule below.

Vancouver’s Pacific Nation Exhibit - aka the ‘PNE’

A favourite summertime activity for locals and tourists alike! Patrons can choose between a General Admission pass to simply walk around and enjoy the exhibitions, or a Ride All Day Pass for both exhibitions and rides.

FME UC attendees can receive a discount on their tickets (up to 35% off!) by redeeming a special UC discount code!

To buy tickets,  go to www.theex.com, click on “Corporate Sales” in the footer, scroll to “Group or Promo Code,” enter the code “20224KXW9FVR” and complete your transaction!

Whistler

If you have some extra time before or after the UC, spending the night in Whistler is well worth the 2-hour drive along the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway. There are dozens of ways to fill your time: hiking trails along the way and in the Whistler Mountain area, the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, Whistler Tasting Tours, and more!

Okanagan Wine Tours

Another recommendation for UC attendees extending their visit is to travel 5 hours to the Okanagan for a few days! Located in BC's Interior Region, it’s hard to beat the Okanagan in the summertime. Especially when you add a wine tour! Check out the resources below to book an Okanagan wine tour during your BC holiday.
