FME Software Maintenance

With an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) from Safe Software, you’ll have access to product release updates and several other important benefits so that you can continue to solve your toughest data interoperability challenges.

Availability

AMC is included with the purchase of all FME products for the first year.*  If you would like to continue to receive the benefits of AMC, you will be required to renew the contract on an annual basis.

*When purchasing an incremental user, or plug-in functionality for an existing product, the AMC end date of the addition will take on the AMC end date of the original product.

Software Updates
Automatically receive the latest FME releases. When a new version of FME becomes available, you’ll automatically receive it so your organization can immediately take full advantage of the new formats, transformers, and other user-inspired improvements introduced in each new release. Software updates are available online and via postal mail. FME users also receive download access to periodic betas of upcoming FME releases.

Product Support
Get fast answers and expert advice on how FME can help you solve tough spatial data conversion challenges. Our Certified FME Professionals are available to assist you between 8am and 5pm Pacific Standard Time (UTC/GMT -8 hours) from Monday to Friday (except Canadian holidays).

Training Discounts
Save on FME training! For each FME license purchased (with AMC), you receive a 50% discount on one registration for a Safe Software open enrolment FME Training session.*  Maximize your investment in software with an investment in education and you will be amazed at the results!

Full Credit for Upgrades
Receive a full credit when upgrading. When your AMC is kept up-to-date, your FME software retains its full value. If you choose to upgrade to an FME edition with higher functionality or to a more flexible license configuration, you will get full credit for your product trade-in.

Make predictable annual payments that fit into your budget planning cycle. With AMC, there are no surprises. We’ll contact you automatically about renewal both 90 and 60 days prior to the AMC expiry date so you’ll have plenty of time to arrange for payment.

Renewing Your AMC

As your current contract nears expiry, we will automatically email you AMC renewal notices (90 day & 60 days). We will also mail you a hard copy of the renewal notice 60 days prior to the contract expiration date. If you purchased your AMC through an authorized Reseller Partner, our partner will notify you directly about your upcoming renewal.

To renew your maintenance for the upcoming year, simply reply to the renewal notice email or complete the online AMC renewal form.  We will acknowledge your renewal and send an invoice. Please be sure to include special invoice requirements such as listing a purchase order number on the invoice. To renew using your credit card, please complete this form and fax to +1 (604) 501-9965 or call +1 (604) 501-9985 ext. 297. 
If your maintenance renewal timeframe has passed, back maintenance fees, in addition to the current fees, will be due in order for Safe Software to reinstate your Annual Maintenance Contract.

AMC purchased directly from Safe Software (not from a Safe Reseller Partner): Please review our problem reporting procedures and then, fill out our Support Request Form. Safe’s support team is ready to help you between 8am and 5pm Pacific Standard Time (UTC/GMT -8 hours) from Monday to Friday (except Canadian holidays).

AMC purchased through a Safe Software Reseller Partner: Please contact the Reseller directly so they can support you directly – often in the time zone and language you require. Locate a Reseller Partner in your region.
