Course Payment

• How much does each course cost?
  Pricing for each course offered by Safe Software is listed on the course schedule. A 50% discount is available for customers with a valid Annual Maintenance agreement (see this question for full discount details). Prices for courses offered by our partners may vary; please contact them directly for details.

• Do you have any discounts or special offers?
  Yes. Any customer with active Annual Maintenance is eligible for a 50% discount on any training course offered by Safe Software (does not include training courses hosted by our partners). Participants in the FME Grant Program are also eligible for this discount. To take advantage of this discount, please include your product's serial number in the serial number field when registering. Note: only one discount per license.

• How can I pay for my course?
  For courses offered by Safe Software, you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, or invoice.

Course Selection and Registration:

• I don’t see any courses near me. What are my options?
  You have two options. In addition to our in-person courses, we also offer online courses via our virtual classroom. If you prefer in-person learning, you can also book us for a private training course at your workplace or at our office. Alternatively, you can watch instructional videos or work through our online tutorials for free. Check out the training catalog for a list of available videos and tutorials.

• How do I register for a course?
  Once you’ve found the course you want on the training calendar, click Register Now. After filling out the registration form we’ll process your request and get back to you as soon as we’re able. If you’ve selected a course that’s offered by one of our partners, simply contact that partner and request more information.

Course Delivery

• What different learning formats do you have for your FME training courses?
  We offer both in-person and online FME training courses. Regardless of how it’s offered, all of our courses are designed to help you succeed, perhaps this is why 97% of students rated our courses as either “Excellent” or “Good”. We strive to keep our instructor to student ratio low so that you get the attention you deserve. Plus, we update our training materials with each new release ensuring that participants get the utmost value from their class experience – even as repeat attendees. In addition, we also have self-paced tutorials and recorded content on a wide range of topics.

• What can I expect from an in-person training course?
  In-person courses are held over consecutive full days at physical locations around the world. You’ll receive expert instruction from an FME Certified Trainer, the opportunity to network with your peers, and printed copies of our official FME training manuals to take home. Included with each course are snacks and lunch, plus a USB memory key for storing all of your hard work. Students are encouraged to bring their datasets so that, if time allows, they can ask the instructor for advice.

• What can I expect from an online instructor-led course?
  Online instructor-led courses are held over consecutive mornings in the Pacific Timezone. Each course is led by an FME Certified Trainer and held in a virtual classroom, where the instructor is accessible throughout the day via chat, email and phone. If time allows, students are also able to ask the instructor for advice on their unique data challenges.

• How do I know what content is covered in each course?
  To find out what each course, tutorial, or video will cover check, out our training catalog. Most courses in the catalog also include a separate course outline, linked to from each catalog entry.

• Do you offer private training?
  Yes. All of our FME training courses can be taught as a closed private training course, held either at your office, at ours, or at a third-party location. Please contact us for more information about private training.

• Do you have any free training resources?
  Yes. We have several tutorials as well as numerous videos available in our training catalog.
