  TECH TIP

To make the best use of the FME MapPoint plug-in, manipulate your data with FME prior to importing it. Accomplish this by using FME Workbench or a GIS package to convert geometry types (that is, lines and areas) into points. This enables MapPoint Importer to transform them into native push-pin data instead of overlay data, and the features retain their attribution.
