Safe Software Adds MySQL Reading and Writing Support to FME® Suite
MySQL Users Conference, SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 19, 2005 Booth # 24 Safe Software Inc. is pleased to announce support for the MySQL database in its core Spatial ETL (extract, transform, and load) technology. The new functionality will be available soon with the release of Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) Suite 2005.
This solution enables MySQL database users to import and export both spatial and non-spatial data to and from over 130 formats and systems. FMEs MySQL support makes use of many of the more advanced MySQL capabilities such as custom SQL queries, two types of memory management, both MyISAM and InnoDB table types, automated creation of primary keys, and attribute and spatial column index creation.
