As a co-op student, you're looking to gain some valuable work experience but you also want to enjoy your job.

At Safe, co-op students are treated differently. You'll be treated as an equal, working alongside full-time employees in teams of 3 to 5 members and playing an important role in designing, implementing, and testing new components for FME, our industry-leading spatial data transformation technology. Throughout your term, you'll receive coaching and mentorship from your team lead, helping you build a full range of skills. Plus, we think you'll really enjoy the benefits of Life at Safe.

 

Here are the skills you'll need to succeed at Safe

Essential:

• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
• Strong C++ development skills

Desirable:

• Practical experience developing applications on the Windows operating system
• Microsoft Visual Studio
• UNIX operating system
• Scripting languages, e.g. Perl, Bash, Python, and TCL
• Qt
• Java
